The MadridEasy website utilizes Hypertext Transfer Protocol Secure or (HTTPS) which is a combination of the Hypertext Transfer Protocol (HTTP) with SSL/TLS protocol to provide encrypted communication and secure identification of the network web server. This is to ensure that your connection is a secure one when conducting payment transactions on the MadridEasy website and for all other sensitive information as well.
You agree to pay MadridEasy for the Total Fees for any booking requested. You understand and agree that MadridEasy reserves the right, in its sole discretion, to (i) obtain a pre-authorization via your credit card for the Total Fees or (ii) charge your credit card a nominal amount, not to exceed one Euro (€1), or a similar sum in the currency in which you are transacting (e.g. one euro or one British pound) to verify your credit card. Once MadridEasy receives confirmation of your payment you will receive in turn a confirmation in the e-mail provided.
Each listing and length of stay in each listing will inform the tenant what the amount of that specific Security Deposit is. MadridEasy will use its commercially reasonable efforts to obtain a pre-authorization of the Tenant’s credit card in the amount that has been predetermined for the Security Deposit at the time of booking, prior to the Tenant’s check-in. MadridEasy will also use its commercially reasonable efforts to address Owners’ requests and claims related to Security Deposits.
In consideration for providing the Services, MadridEasy collects service fees from Tenants (“Service Fees”). Service Fees is made up of: (i) fees that is charged to the Tenant for the purposes of efficiently and effectively cover the costs of our services provided to set tenant. Tenant fees are always included in the total fee.
Please note that for any payments to MadridEasy in currencies other than Euros (€), must be changed over to Euros (€) MadridEasy solely accepts said currency.
Deposits will be refunded once the property has been vacated, no damages have been inflicted on the property and of course if said residence did not have expenses included, any left over expenses will be deducted from the initial deposit. Please keep in mind that the refund of the deposit also depends if your property had all bills included, partial bills included or no bills included. If the bills were included the refund is done immediately, if they were partially included or not at all, the tenant would have to choose either to wait for the remaining bills to arrive or MadridEasy could do estimation and then refund the deposit once the remaining bills have been settled.
Tenants have 48 hours from the moment a reservation is made to make a cancellation. Cancellations done 48 hours after a reservation has been made will result in the forfeiture of the security deposit and service fee. Damage to Accommodations
As a Tenant, you are responsible for leaving the accommodation in the condition it was in when you arrived. You acknowledge and agree that, as a Tenant, you are responsible for your own acts and omissions and are also responsible for the acts and omissions of any individuals who you invite to, or otherwise provide access to, the accommodation. In the event that an Owner claims otherwise and provides evidence of damage, including but not limited to, photographs, you agree to pay the cost of replacing the damaged items with equivalent items. After being notified of the claim and given forty eight (48) hours to respond, the payment will be charged to and taken from the credit card that MadridEasy has on file. MadridEasy also reserves the right to charge the credit card on file, or otherwise collect payment from you and pursue any avenues available to MadridEasy in this regard, including using Security Deposits, in situations in which you have been determined, in MadridEasy’s sole discretion, to have damaged any accommodation. If we are unable to charge the credit card on file or otherwise collect payment from you, you agree to remit payment for any damage to the accommodation to MadridEasy.
Both Owners and Tenants agree to cooperate with and assist MadridEasy in good faith, and to provide MadridEasy with such information and take such actions as may be reasonably requested by MadridEasy, in connection with any complaints or claims made relating to accommodations or any personal or other property located at an accommodation or with respect to any investigation undertaken by MadridEasy or a representative of MadridEasy regarding use or abuse of the Site or the Services. If you are a Tenant, upon MadridEasy’s reasonable request, and to the extent you are reasonably able to do so, you agree to participate in mediation or similar resolution process with an Owner or MadridEasy, at no cost to you, which process will be conducted by MadridEasy or a third party selected by MadridEasy, with respect to losses for which the Owner is requesting payment from MadridEasy under the MadridEasy Owner Guarantee.
If you are a Tenant, you understand and agree that MadridEasy reserves the right, in its sole discretion, to make a claim under your homeowner’s, renter’s or other insurance policy related to any damage or loss that you may have caused or been responsible for to an Accommodation or any personal or other property located at an Accommodation (including amounts paid by MadridEasy under the MadridEasy Owners Guarantee.) You agree to cooperate with and assist MadridEasy in good faith, and to provide MadridEasy with such information as may be reasonably requested by MadridEasy in order to make a claim under your homeowner’s, renter’s or other insurance policy, including, but not limited to, executing documents and taking such further acts as MadridEasy may reasonably request to assist MadridEasy in accomplishing the foregoing.
